Comic: Ideal vs. Reality - Gastroenterology
Seems like this series is slowly turning into a "Best case scenario vs. worst case scenario" kind of thing. Oh well, too late to change the name now.

Haha gross, did that gerbil thing actually happen?
I'd like to point out that the GI doc in the 'ideal' panel is obviously grossly incompetent. His sign clearly says 'cash only,' and yet he offers the option of credit. Either he can't read, or he hasn't the duodenal fortitude to stand up for his benjamin-grubbing policies.
Which is it, Kevin?
Which is it?
That is the funnest thing I have read to fate since reading Med Blogs... well done.

I think at car dealership, cash-in-hand customers just implies they are able to pay immediately w/o financing, which is the general gist of the sign rather than asking patients to bring a bag full of benjamins into the clinic
Oh, you totally just made it on my Reader subscriptions and my blogroll.
Your blog cracks me up!
Hilarious. I lived the poo comic 2 days ago.
Consider yourselves blogrolled.
Nice touch with the blue, Kevin. Your mastery over stick-figures is developing nicely. :D
I prefer to be photo-realistic in my artistic endeavors
Hehe. So true. Also consider yourself blogrolled.
A patient's chart I reviewed in the pre-anesthesia clinic yesterday had a note from a gastroenterologist regarding her gastrointestinal disorder, non-erosive reflux disease, or N.E.R.D. Never heard of this one in medical school.
Poor poor gerbil :S
